What is it?
Grants awarded through the program support nonprofit community-based organizations in the New York metropolitan area working to improve the quality of services they provide to young people between the ages of 8 and 25.
How much will be awarded?
Awards are up to $25,000 for six-month to two-year projects.
What is included?
Proposed improvements can include activities to increase the program attendance of youth, development and implementation of improved curricula and teaching materials, and activities to improve the direct service skills of staff. The program will not award general operating funds.
Who is eligible?
Only 501(c)(3) designated youth-serving organizations in select New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut counties are eligible.
What is the submission deadline?
Applications will be accepted from January 13, 2009, to March 11, 2009, with award decisions to be made in August 2009.

Through the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, iMentor is offering financial support to small and medium organizations who may not otherwise be able to fund iMi’s user fees. You can read more about this opportunity on the iMi RFP page.
